Changing Contact Email Address

To insure that university correspondence reaches your email inbox, you should check and verify that your contact information is correct. Here's how:

1. In another window, go to the BYU homepage at the address byu.edu

2. Once at the BYU homepage, you need to sign in to Route Y using the Secure Sign In at the top left of the page.

3. When you are logged in, you need to follow the link "Personal Information" under Communication.

4. You can quickly check your email contact information in the Summary Information. The arrow on the right points to where your currently registered email address is shown. If this needs to be changed, you need to click on Contact in the row of links (left arrow).

5. This page shows all of your contact information. You can also update your mailing and residential addresses on this page. You will need to do that before you start classes, once you have moved. Your email address is shown at the bottom of the left column. Click on "Email Address" to change your email information.

6. In the text field, enter the email address that you wish the university to email when contacting you. It is important to keep this up-to-date so that you don't miss any important emails. Click "Save" and you are done.
