BYU Tools

BYU has several tools to help you navigate your enrollment. These resources provide help with registering for classes, searching for majors, asking questions, tracking your university account, engaging in online learning, and so much more. Below we've compiled a list of tools first-year students use most often:

MyBYU

MyBYU is a type of launch site that centralizes common services and systems for students. You can personalize myBYU to display the tabs, quick links, and widgets you find most helpful. All you need to login is your Net ID and password!

MyMAP

MyMAP is BYU's tool to help you plan and register for classes. MyMAP contains registration, your class schedule, and tools to plan out future semesters. Other links on MyMAP to help you register include:
  • Progress Report: an official report of completed college work.
  • Class Schedule: the place to find detailed information about courses you're interested in and the days or times they are offered.
  • Major Academic Plans (MAPs): give you the recommended sequence of courses for each major.

My Financial Center

My Financial Center is the place for all of your BYU-related finances. Some features include paying tuition and charges, applying for financial aid and scholarships, managing Cougar Cash, setting up direct deposit, and more.

Check your financial YMessages and tasks in My Financial Center regularly for important information regarding your student account.

Enrollment Services

Enrollment Services (formerly BYU OneStop) combines financial aid, registration and records, scholarships, tuition, admissions, and other helpful information. Use the checklists on the website to know what to do when you register for classes, serve a mission, or apply for financial aid with FAFSA. Many questions related to these topics can also be asked online using YMessage, or you may contact Enrollment Services in person (801-422-4104, or stop by D-155 ASB).

BYU Learning Suite

You will use Learning Suite in almost every class. This is your online student portal where you can view each class schedule, submit assignments, take quizzes, and participate in online discussions. Check back often to view grades, see messages, and read class announcements.

Guest Access

Guest Access allows you to give another person proxy access to your BYU account. You can grant access to selected information so your proxy may conduct business on your behalf. Some of these areas include housing/meal plan payments, contact information updates, class registration questions, and more.

The BYU app allows you to access useful information on the go. You can get a digital copy of your ID card, map your classes, look up your on-campus job work hours, send YMessages, and so much more. You'll want this on your mobile device to stay in touch with the university.

Church Educational System Honor Code

Every student who accepts their admittance to a Church Educational System school signs the Honor Code, committing to uphold the standards & principles listed in it. It is incredibly important to understand the deeper meaning & reason for the implementation of each of the rules listed in the Honor Code.

"Brigham Young University and other Church Educational System institutions exist to provide an education in an atmosphere consistent with the ideals and principles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints...."
