Parents, welcome to BYU!

Congratulations on your child's acceptance to BYU! We know that you play an important role in your child's first year at college, so we want to share some important BYU resources with you. Whether this is your first time being a BYU parent or your eighth, we are excited to welcome you and your new student to campus.

While at New Student Orientation, your student will have many opportunities to get connected with campus resources to help them be successful in their academic and career goals.

Don't feel left out! During the first day of Fall New Student Orientations, we have some events specifically designed for parents. Multiple presentations from offices & resources across campus will be held in order to calm natural worries and concerns during this important transition for you and your student.

Until then, we also have a page of Online Resources designed specifically for parents.

During Winter & Spring NSOs, we do not host a Parent Orientation. However, parents are welcome to attend presentations and tours with their students (child willing).

Parents interested in attending are encouraged to register ahead of time. While registering, lunches can be pre-purchased for Fall Parent Orientation. At the others, you will be given time to find your own lunch and eat before your other activities.

ORIENTATION PREPARATION

Don't forget to remind your student to complete their ONLINE ORIENTATION MODULES before their Orientation so they have a foundation before arriving to campus!
